grassroots global solidarity
The Zapatista (solidarity) network and the resulting Peoples' Global Action as well as the still relatively young Global Tapestry of Alternatives - these were and/or are not only transnationally linked emancipatory structures, but also expressed and continue to express the most radical and comprehensive approaches to changing the world.
In the workshop, we can collate what we know about these networks and how the connections with our struggles have been and are being lived in this country. For example, there will be reports from the meetings in the jungle of Chiapas: both the ones that PGA facilitated back then and the ones this spring and summer. We will also look at how we can learn from these transnational movements and contribute to strengthening them and, through them, to strengthening our local networks.
