The many-headed Hydra - uprisings of enslaved people in the early modern period

This workshop is about the uprisings of enslaved people in the early modern period, which have received little attention in Eurocentric historiography and the public sphere and which, as the historians Linebaugh and Rediker write, were often compared by the rulers to a many-headed hydra: although its head is cut off, another one always grows back. After an input on the topic, the workshop also leaves room for your own contributions.
